    Church Pastor/Minister

        Background information

The Church of Christ the King Eastington is a relatively new independent evangelical church with an established work and witness to people in this area including families and young people. The church was formed in 2022 when the congregation felt unable to remain within the Methodist Church of Great Britain denomination. Eastington is located 4 miles west of Stroud close to Junction 13 of the M5.

There is a particular emphasis and need to encourage the development of a real living faith in our Lord Jesus amongst the extensive contact base the church has within the local community. In addition to this, a large new housing estate is being built nearby and there are opportunities to reach out to the new occupants.

The church is seeking a Pastor or Minister who feels called to help lead the growth and development of the new church going forward.

The church is open to this being a voluntary, part time or full time paid position. If the latter, it is anticipated that funding would available to support the initial 3 years of this post.

If you have a calling to spread the Gospel, please seek the Lord's will as to whether you should apply to join us in this work.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE CANNOT CONSIDER APPLICATIONS FROM PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO LIVE AND WORK IN THE UK.

About the Area

The church is located near Stroud in Gloucestershire in the Vale of the Severn, the less hilly countryside between the edge of the Cotswold Hills and the River Severn.

Stroud has a good selection of shops as does Stonehouse, which lies between Stroud and Eastington. Gloucester, about 10 miles to the north, has a large shopping centre and its historic docks. Cribbs Causeway to the north of Bristol is within 30mins drive and is a major regional shopping centre complete with Mall.

There are good road and rail connections to Gloucester, London and the Midlands and lots of really good countryside to explore in the Cotswolds. Wales is within easy reach with the Brecon Beacons national park not far away and some really nice beaches on the South Wales coast making a good day out.
